Cowabunga, Pete Smith!
Peter Morris Smith, a southern gentleman 86, passed away peacefully at “Cowabunga Villas”, Virginia Beach, VA March 10. Pete was born April 14th to Robert and Louise Lowe in West Palm Beach and adopted at birth by Eleanor Hawes Smith. Pete was raised traveling between the family’s businesses; The Miramar Inn of West Palm Beach and The Albemarle Hall in Virginia Beach. Pete started surfing as a float boy at VBP at age 10 and met lifetime friend, Harry Smithson.
